this has been on the back burner for a while, finally managed to piece it together… celluloid warfare returns
parts of insects are destroyed through the projector and a complex soundtrack aims to create a heightened audio visual experience.. my thoughts at the moment center around synesthesia, specifically where movements are translated to an abstract sound. I like very much to play with this relationship between movement, sound and the human senses.
best listened through headphones! enjoy!
For FITC Amsterdam 2013, we created these titles based on the creative designed by mr Bradley G Munkowitz (aka GMUNK)
Since Bradley was already working on the creative for the print campaign of FITC Amsterdam 2013, and we loved his design work, we decided to step in and give FITC a complete and cohesive visual package instead of visually creating something completely new or different.
And so here it is.. our “Pyradical” main titles for FITC Amsterdam 2013. Pure disco!

The Flow looks at the supervening layers of reality that we can observe, from quarks to nucleons to atoms and beyond. The deeper we go into the foundations of reality the more it loses its form, eventually becoming a pure mathematical conception. Layer upon layer the flow builds new codes that create new codes, each version computing a new, more complex state based on the previous one.

Offf Festival has been a multicultural design conference event for years. From the beginning, I wanted to explore a different approach. Titles was executed with diverse ranges of techniques to underline sub-context, gathering different imagination, disciplines, mediums and artists.
Used techniques vary from computer graphics to live action, macro photography to photocopy art. One single concept unifies the variation. It is the simplicity. In contrast with the strong imagery typography plays a subtle role, placed in the centre with only two weight variations of a geometric typeface.
